We are pleased to announce a new book project. 'Dream Cars: John G. Zimmerman's Photographic Chronicles of the Automobile Era' is a stellar collection of car pix from the 1950s-1980s due out next year. 

These 1954 pictures of Dorothy Myers, age 20, were first published in LIFE when she made history by becoming Michigan's youngest ever registered lobbyist.

The American Photography Archives Group (APAG), a non-profit dedicated to advancing the legacies of American photographers, held its second annual West Coast seminar October 12-13 in Carmel.

Zimmerman's photograph of high school swimmer Becky Collins appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1959. Collins, who is now 75, reflects on how Zimmerman's photos impacted her life.

The Ashe '68 exhibit featuring Zimmerman's photos of Arthur Ashe making history at the 1968 US Open is now on view at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC) in Richmond through July 7th.

We are thrilled to announce that four of John's portraits have been acquired by the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C.  Among them is figure skater Peggy Fleming, the only American to win Olympic Gold at the Winter Games in 1968.
