A special new photo book by Frank Cost featuring recently discovered pictures of his mother, Elaine Gagas, taken by John G. Zimmerman in 1950.

Ahead of this year's World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians, TIME asked legendary sports photographers who've covered the World Series through the years to select their most memorable pictures.

"One More Take," a major retrospective of Zimmerman's career (1950-1990), opens in Belgium on October, 20, 2016. The exhibition coincides with the publication of "American in Black and White: Selected Photographs of John G. Zimmerman."
